Publisher's Synopsis
This pocket reference book, covering the rules by race situation, contains the full text of the 1993-96 IYRU rules. Instead of examining the rules in turn and discussing which situation(s) each governs, the book assumes a race situation and then looks at which rules apply. The reader can then work their way around the course from the start, to the windward mark, offwind legs to the finish, studying all the situations which can arise.;The information is graded on three levels: rules everyone who races should know (no symbol); rules for top club racing (one hull symbol); rules for top national and international competition (two hull symbols). IYRU and USYRU appeal case numbers are also given for further reference.;Bryan Willis was rules advisor to three America's Cup campaigns during the 1980s, and was umpire and member of the international jury for the 1992 America's Cup.
