The Round Knights of the Table is a collection of humorous traditional poems (They have rhythm and rhyme). Many of them are comparable to Edward Lear's "The Owl and the Pussy Cat." Titles of individual poems include: "Ice Cream Has No Bones," "The Poached Egg Society," "Ode to a Toad," "King in a Cannibal Land," and "A Dirge for the Doge." The subtitle, "Poems of Sense and Nonsense for Children Aged Nine to Ninety," is a strong clue that this collection is for children and for adults who have not surrendered their sense of wonder.
