Publisher's Synopsis
I'd never been to a refugee camp before but I'll never forget it. Every twenty-one seconds there is a new refugee created by war or famine somewhere in the world. That's not a long time to lose your home, your family, your entire way of life.
Forgotten, betrayed and left isolated, the Karen ethnic minority have been involved in a civil war, a war they call a 'Revolution', for over 70 years. Twenty years after first travelling to Thailand and Burma I was 'Still on the Border' having had numerous adventures and meeting some of the most remarkable people on Earth, and that's not including the Pope and Aung San Suu Kyi. The Tea Shop is where I met Maung Maung Tinn whose words illuminate my humble stories. I hope to dry some of the blood and tears of the people of Burma by sharing their stories with you.
