The problem today is that moms are unsupported in their own recovery post birth, and the societal assumption that they are fine and can return to life as normal in six weeks or less is leading to a disconnect between moms and their own needs, and creating a high level of stress, burnout and mental health challenges among our new (and seasoned) moms.
