Excerpt from The Registers of the Parish of Llansannan: 1667-1812
The large number of Baptismal and Burial entries occurring in the earlier years of these Registers sug gests very plainly that the population of the parish at that time must have been considerably larger than it is at present. The earliest figures to which Ihave access refer to the year 1801, when the population numbered 1 143, made up of557 males and 586 females. In 1811, there were 582 males and 639 females, total 1221; in 1821, 636 males and 675 females, total 1311 and in 1831 the total was 1372.
