Audrey's little sister, April, has been with Isaac Wither's Jr. for six years. April is skeptical about marrying the potential mayor of Crestview. She loves him, and he has a great relationship with her son Titus, but the people of Crestview have not changed. April remembers how things were for her sister after she married a prominent figure in the city.
Isaac runs for mayor and wins the election! Even with hesitation to be the mayor's wife, April knows Isaac has been too good to her for her to stand in the way of him living out his goals and aspirations. She places her fears aside and goes with the faith in her heart. When Isaac asks her to marry him, she says "yes." She tells him she will be by his side as the "mayor's wife." Once the official announcement of their engagement from the mayor's office hits the city, Isaac's past resurfaces. Things happen that April never imagined. While dealing with Isaac's past, she comes face to face with her past. She has decisions to make. Will April live up to what she said and stand by her man when things get tough? Will she choose Isaac or her past? Will she remain still through everything and know that God is God?
