Publisher's Synopsis
A revised and updated version of my original Gavenstein Guide Book. New races, classes, new feats, spells, and additional material. Play tested over a lengthy period of time. I rushed to publish the first edition for an event and realized my mistake. I have went back and went over the material with friends and repaired the damage.Within the tomb, you will find races, classes, spells, maps, equipment, magical artifacts, a pre-ran adventure, and much more. There are spells of Arcane, Divine, and of Malice. Creatures of the shadow realms and of the Nine Levels. Instructions and game rules for new adventurers.
Most of the Realms are fixed in an age of Arcane and midevil settings, There is little to no advancement in technology or weaponry, as I have always believed would ruin the fantasy setting. There are rules for black powder muskets and black powder rifles, mostly for the pirate class and NPC rules. Set about the Realms as you create a being not known of this world. Elves, Gnomes, TenderFeet, Imps, Jsadds, and Orcs. Eldrin, as old as the realms, the dark Gloom-Fey born of an Omni and Fallen. The Caesar Elves, nomads and primitive while living in deep forests, natives of their homeland. The various races of Orcs, woken and given consciousness by the White Witch and aspiring Omni Xanshere Westmont. Their Draghoon. Join the Lionhearts and their horde at he Bellowing Boar Nest as Berserkers or Ra'Thar, the Arch Mage of Weatherstorm. Choose between the Grande Alliance or the deplorable Defiance, see the Realms split in two. Half wanting peace for the sake of order, the other half wanting freedom at the cost of chaos.
The Realms of Gavenstein can be used as a primary rule book for gaming or used with earlier editions of other table top role playing games as a supplement or alternate source of rules. This rendition has my own take on the set up of races, and classes, a more primitive and simple set up. Rules and explanations that made sense to a younger version of me mingled with knowledge gained over the years hence. I have lived the Realms of Gavenstein for decades, retreating to the realms as my safe place when all seems lost. I have also used my world, my realms, for gameplay to enjoy with friends. I have not allowed much altering from my original version, but I have added to myself with expansion and necessity. Much is familiar with creatures from other lore or systems as I fashioned many of my stories from books I read as a child or from television and movies. I have kept my lore and creations as humble and original as when I first conceived the Realms. Any similarities are purely incidental and unintentional.
