Publisher's Synopsis
This annual anthology of poems is published by the Georgia Poetry Society (GPS) founded August 30, 1978. Members are encouraged to write their own poems, perform them in public, and read widely others' poetry. The GPS sponsors quarterly meetings throughout Georgia and beyond, poetry workshops, readings by well-known and not-so-well known poets, open mic poetry readings, a Poetry in the Schools project, as well as this anthology. The GPS is a proud member of the National Federation of State Poetry Societies (NFSPS). Membership is open to all persons with an active interest in poets or poetry. Our website is: www.georgiapoetrysociety.org. From chips and shards in idle times made these stories, shaped these rhymes; May they engage some friendly tongue When I am past the reach of song.
