In the realm of gaming sensation The Gates of TirNiki, Earl Hail Jeoran just might be the best of both worlds. His father was a Traveler, or player, and his mother was an NPC. As a result, he's a native player character, with abilities and potential beyond imagining . . . which is how he landed in his own personal holosuite jail. Apparently, when in-game threats lead to real-life violence, people can get sort of touchy.
But now, Hail's unique experience is necessary for the game to continue. Because while he's the first of his kind, he may not be the last. It's time to straighten up and play right in order to survive as he struggles to protect his mother and newborn brother, put down the nasty freelancers plaguing his lands, and display his mastery in awesome battle-and not-so-awesome politics-all the while undertaking more quests than ever before.
Unfortunately, Hail's big moves will accidentally unleash a big boss. Like, really big. And the only way to save the world of Lagrea could mean the dreaded return of the very character Hail most wants to kill . . .
