For many, becoming an immigrant causes a real psychological upheaval as well as a period of identity crisis and even psychological maturation. The exercise of the right to asylum is in crisis because it is marked by sinuous administrative procedures. No one disputes the rational control of immigration by a bureaucracy that values efficiency and rationality. In fact, obtaining international protection is largely the result of the evidence that each person must provide and bring to demonstrate to the administrative authorities the reality of the persecution suffered, for example.
