Publisher's Synopsis
All of Satan's apples have worms! That's one way of saying Satan never delivers what he promises. This is certainly true when it comes to today's popular "Prosperity Gospel" movement. It promises health, wealth, and happiness, to its followers, but leaves them discouraged, disillusioned, and distrusting of God! Its main teaching, dubbed "name-it-and-claim-it" or "positive confession," where words supposedly "have the power to create reality when spoken aloud," actually finds its origin, not in the Bible, but in the pagan New Thought cult popular in the 1800's. It is hard to imagine, but when today's super-smooth prosperity preachers such as Joel Osteen, Kenneth Copeland, Creflo Dollar, and Benny Hinn are preaching the prosperity gospel, they are preaching the same doctrine that spawned the popular cults of Christian Science (Mary Baker Eddy) and Unity School of Thought (Charles Filmore). Check it out and you will see the amazing similarities between these three groups - all finding their source in the "mind-over-matter" cult of New Thought theology. Of this fact, there is no debate. Jesus told us that when "the end times" are near, things will often not be as they appear. Vicious wolves will be hiding among the sheep waiting to devour them and render them ineffective in their service for the Shepherd. Our mandate is to expect them to come, examine their teachings with the Word of God, expose their heresies, and exhort the brethren to avoid them. Join us on our journey to dismantle the Prosperity Gospel piece-by-piece and evaluate it in light of the Scriptures. Then when we put all the pieces back together again, you will see the Prosperity Gospel for what it is - a false Gospel of Greed that offers its followers the very same things that Satan offers those who will worship him.
