Snorri Sturluson was an Icelandic historian, poet, and politician. Today Sturluson is best known for writing The Prose Edda, an Old Norse work of literature that was written in the early 13th century. The Prose Edda is notable for containing Norse mythology, a book of poetry, and a list of verse forms. The Prose Edda is considered the oldest and most famous work in Scandinavian history.
