Publisher's Synopsis
Half-breed lorian and human swordsman Kai, along with his companion lorian princess Nera discover Nera's village of Tarak in Loria destroyed and her family murdered. To find out who had committed the atrocity, they journey to the capital city of Tolith for answers. Upon arrival, they learn of the prophecies of old telling of the God Lorit and Goddess Rica returning to the world of Caddia. Nera and Kai also learn that they are the reincarnations of the God and Goddess and they must learn to master their powers.While saving the lorian city from an elven attack, Kai is nearly killed but receives healing from a lorian healer. After his courageous actions, the Priest and Priestess of Tolith decide to award him a title of nobility, thus making him Duke of Tolith. As they begin their training in Tolith, the protagonists are told of the evil elven lord, Eiganar who has spent the last few hundred years plotting to conquer the world. His discovery of an ancient book of evil, known as the Mallaichte Leabhar, which translates into "The Forbidden Book", gives him access to black magic. This allows him to conjure horrible creatures from the underworld and create an army of terrifying creatures. As Eiganar begins his campaign, Nera and Kai recruit the armies in the human country of Nezerah and begin their gruelling training, preparing for battle. All the while, their love grows stronger. The couple faces many troubling and dangerous challenges along the way, testing their power, their love and the bonds they've forged. As Eiganar begins his campaign to rule, Kai visits the sacred grove of Pàrras for guidance. After returning to the city of Tolith, he begins to prepare his armies for the war ahead.
