A fecond caufe was the Articles of Pertb, viz: the obf'ervation of Fefiivall dayes kneeling at the Communion c0nfirmation, adminifita tion of the Sacraments in private places which are brought in by a null Aiiembly and are contrary to the Confeliion offaith, as it was meant and fubfcribed ulnno 1580. And divers times fince and to the order and confiitutions of this Kirk. Thirdly, the changing of the government ofthekirk from the Alfemblies of the Kirk 10 the perfons offome Kirk-men ufilrping prioritie and power over their Brethren by the way, and under the name of Epifcopallfovemmentfigainft the Conle?iorr offaith 1 s 80. Againfi the or er down in the Book ofpolicy and againft the intention and confiitution of this Kirk from the beginning. Fourthly the Civili places and power ofkirk-men their fitting in Sc?ion, Councelland Exchequer their Riding Sitting and timing in Parliament and their fitting in the Bench as Jufiices of peace which according tothe confiitutions of this Kirk are in compatible with their fpitituall fanaion lifting them up above their Brethren in worldly pompe and do tend to the hinderance of the Miniflrie.
