HE promise to write this book as one of a series dealing with the public aspects of Medicine was made in 1906. The greater part of it was written over a year ago, Part I. Almost entirely so, the quotations from the Second Interim Report of the Royal Commission appointed to inquire V into the Relations of Human and Animal Tuberculosis, with such Slight modifications of inference as were necessitated by it, being added subsequently.
