Publisher's Synopsis
Jael is an orphaned slave, tending the village flocks and seeing the revelation of God all around him. After learning that the rainbow is a sign of God's covenant, Jael strikes out to find Noah's son, Shem. His journey takes him to Salem and King Melchizedek then all the way back home to face personal tragedy and doubt in his new flock.
In King Melchizedek's garden, Jael encounters the Lord but will this be a solid enough foundation to guide and inform him? His journey, like ours, is a lifelong struggle to keep his promise to God.
