Publisher's Synopsis
In rural Indiana, tenant farmer Owen Clark succumbed to the flu leaving his wife Jenny with four children and a fifth on the way. Land owner Elmer Vance needing another tenant advertised in The Prairie Farmer magazine. With the arrival of a new farm hand, Jenny and her children would have to move from the tenant's house. Her only living relative, a sister, was of little help. The Prairie Farmer is an historical fiction novel of how it was for women in our not too distant past. This is Jenny Clark's story.
