Publisher's Synopsis

I truly pray this book, "The Power of Being A W-I-N-N-E-R is really worth the sixteen year wait!
With Points instead of Chapters there is a topic that deals with every aspect of my life and how I found myself handling and overcoming many particular setbacks. The Eleven Steps and Self Understanding assisted with my becoming a better person. The Thin line played a major role of being a positive as oppose to a painstaking negative! Surely in each point it is meant to be a description of pain turning to healing in my life. By trying my best to cheat I found myself traveling at the speed of light to nowhere. This is a read that is compelling, easy and motivational with a special light shining.
Born in Baltimore, Maryland to Donald L. Dowridge, Sr. and Elizabeth Taylor - Dowridge on November 28th, 1956 at Baltimore City Hospital, Donald Jr. endured five very harsh and violent foster homes and in 1968 at the mere age of twelve, Donald Jr. was retrieved from the foster care system in Baltimore and transported to the South Bronx where he would live six more harsh and abusive years at the hands of his biological father and stepmother. Nineteen seventy-four was a very good year for that was the year of the great escape from the Bronx to paradise, Tampa, Florida. Donald Sr. had already made the transition to Tampa a year earlier. One month in to Tampa's residency, Donald Jr. enrolled into Hillsborough Senior High School. Prior to March nineteen seventy-eight he proudly received his high school diploma and enlisted in the U.S. Army.
