BE IT remembered, that on the fourteenth day of December, in the �0 -sixth year of the Independence of the United States of merica, A. D. 1821, James M' Hen of the said district, hath deposited in this office, the ti e of a book, the right whereof he claims as propri etor, in the words followmg, to wit: Tm: pleasures or friendship, a Poem, in two arts; to which are added a few Original Irish Melodies, by James M' enry From Friendship which outlives m former themes, Glorious survivor of old Time and Eeath! From Friendship, thus, that ?ower of heavenly seed, The wise extract earth's most Hyblean bliss, Superior Wisdom crown'd with smiling j In conformity to the Act of the Congress of the United States, entitled, the encouragement of learning by securing the copies. Of maps, charts and books, to the Authors and Proprietors of such copies, durin the times therein mentioned 5 and also to the, act, entitled An Act 5 pplementary to an Act, entitled, An act for the encouragement of learning, by securing the copies of maps, charts and books, to the Authors and Proprietors of such copies, durin the times therem men fioned, and extending the benefits thereof to t e {raving and etching historical and other prints.
