"By God, do it now!"
Dr. Nash'at went to his ancient machine and delicately adjusted the dial. He then carefully pointed the eyepiece of the binoculars at the hotel garden, calibrating the wavelength of light emitted by his spectrophotometer before aiming it skywards.
unfortunately, spilling the coffee all over his clothes.... And then suddenly... His device picked up the signal.
He saw them with his own eyes...He mustered up his courage to peek through the binoculars one more time. To his disbelief, he saw an array of colorless, ghostly beings that resembled those drawn by professional horror painters, yet without any distinct features. There were four of them and he whispered out a prayer for help in disbelief at the sight before him.
As soon as Dr. Nash'at uttered these words, one of the creatures leapt through the open window into his room with a single bound. Dr. Nash'at hastily dropped the binoculars and attempted to do anything he could, but realized there was no way to observe such elements without a spectroscope with all his might, he raced towards the door from the window in his room. But... He felt that something had utterly taken over him and was controlling him relentlessly. An invisible presence had invaded his fragile body, filling it with excruciating pains in his every nerve. It was a feeling like nothing he had ever experienced before and he was completely powerless against it.
With all his might, he tried to heave himself to the door or scream for help, but nothing came out of his chest. He felt like he was suffocating and the vein on his neck felt like it would burst from all the shouting in silence. His muscles locked up at once as pain radiated across every inch of his body. He pushed against it with every ounce of strength, enduring more than anyone should ever have to bear. Then... His strength quickly faded under the weight of agonizing pain and suffocation ...His vision blurred until a deep sleepiness of what could be his final slumber overcame him. Dr.Nash'at's body lies still on the floor of the room, only a few moments away from death.
And suddenly..
The door of the room burst open and Lieutenant Colonel Essam jumped in with enviable agility, pointing his positively charged electromagnetic weapon at Dr. Nash'at's head. His companion quickly ran to the window room to observe the rest of the creatures about to attack through the Spectrophotoscope. Pointing his weapon at them as well, they abruptly disappeared like air in an instant.. "Dr. Nash'at...Are you okay?" " What is this!..I've seen them...I almost died!!! .... Someone was inside me.... I swear to you...." Lieutenant Colonel Essam didn't wait for Dr. Nash'at to finish his thought before scooping him up with one arm and sprinting off. His companion could barely keep up with him as they made their way to the Mercedes.. The poor hotel receptionist opened up as he saw everyone rushing towards the car. He didn't know it was the start of a long, strange tale. Or perhaps, a new cosmic epic, one that would prove to be both bizarre and horrific!
