Publisher's Synopsis
Shawn Foster, formerly a lieutenant in the New York City Police Department, has decided to find a place for his growing family away from the crime scene in the big city. He read about a small-town police department in Pine Meadow, Vermont, which was looking for a new second-in-command. It was a town of about fifteen hundred people whose major crime spree involved kids toilet-papering a house. This could be a safe place for him and his family. Or so he thought!
Dead bodies begin to pile up, his wife is kidnapped, there is a major national ring of 'death hunters', and the vigilante group 'People's Rangers' are not sure which side of the law they want to be on. It takes the FBI, CIA, AFT, and RCMP to help Foster close the case.
