Seminar paper from the year 2015 in the subject English Language and Literature Studies - Literature, grade: 2.0, University of Mannheim, language: English, abstract: This term paper deals with the picture of reality and history in postmodern literature by taking a deeper look at "A History of the World in 10 1/2 Chapters" by Julian Barnes. I will argue that mostly our perception of history and reality influence what we believe to be true. I support my argument by providing evidence from secondary sources and examples from the book itself.
