No one is great but God; for what is man, who dies the moment his breath is gone from him? But God can make you 'great' in the sense of making you outstanding and highly placed among men. And you must know that without God, you cannot achieve anything; therefore all glory and praise must go to God for whatever He accomplishes (or helps you to accomplish) in your life or ministry. It is not of him who runs nor of him who wills, but of the Lord God Almighty, Who shows mercy, gives grace, and sustains life! Speaking to David, God said, "I took you from the sheepfold, from following the sheep, to be ruler over My people Israel. And I have been with you wherever you have gone, and have cut off all your enemies from before you, and have made you a name like the name of the great men who are on the earth" (1 Chron. 17:7-8). God can make you great and distinguished among men, as long as you recognize that man is nothing before God.
