This book exhibits an admirable metafiction throughout the mystical tale, never giving in to tired clichés or overwrought sermonizing. It's a stunning, audacious book with a fresh take on a second chance of rectifying the life you lived. Magical. Review 2
This book is a mystery thriller book. One thing I can guarantee once you start reading the book you cannot put it down. Yes, it is that good!! It will keep you glued till the last page. This book is full of unexpected twists and turns that will keep your mouth open. In every other chapter, there is a nail-biting situation. The narration of the story is so good that I felt like I am in the book myself. I absolutely loved the book. It's easy to read for beginners also. Do read it, you won't regret it! Review 3
While reading any novel, one might try to guess what will happen next. That is exactly what you won't be able to do with the Ornate clock. Not once could I guess what was to come. The climax also surprised me. Felt sorry for Jaison, the protagonist. Somewhere I did feel some more justice should have been done to him. At least he could have gone back to his children. Anyway, that's just my thought. Nonetheless, it was an excellent read. I picked up the novel without any expectations and I must say I was beyond satisfied. You can really connect and feel for Jaison. All in all, I was extremely satisfied. Review 4
What is a metric of excellence in fiction writing? Making it seem like a true story is what I think. And this novel does that amazingly well. Painting a picture isn't easy, but the Author, Vineeth, does it effortlessly, which helps in imagining every word and forming them into a movie that only you can watch while reading. The plot revolves around human greed, the lesser-talked evil side of a few women, and a great deal of emotions. I was astounded to know that this is the debut work of the author. I will be looking out for more of his work. "Maybe it made them feel better that their crimes are less severe."
This would be my favorite line from this book, but sadly, I cannot explain why. Once you read it, you will understand. The only con that I could easily forget while enjoying this novel is its resemblance to The Shawshank Redemption's premise. However, this would not trouble us rather than for a few pages. Highly recommended if you are looking for a different type of Mystery thriller.
