Publisher's Synopsis
As a glorious autumn descends upon Thomasville, Indiana, the town's children are back in school. Molly Rae Edwards is, too--pursuing a degree in social work at Purdue University. while balancing her job at Kramer Drugs and being a single mom to not only her daughter Maudie, but also to her deceased husband's young son, Christopher. Her plan to adopt Christopher seems to be coming to fruition without a hitch, until a mysterious woman from New York, claiming to be Christopher's aunt, arrives on the scene. There is also a threat to her budding relationship with Dr. Stephen Andreasen, aka Rocky Rockwell, in the form of another aunt coming to town for a stay of undefined length at the Andreasen home. More conflict invades Molly Rae's life when she learns that the Snow family may be leaving Thomasville. Another Halloween comes, escorting a near-disaster, but Molly Rae learns not all skeletons in the closet are associated with her most-hated holiday.
In this sequel to The Idaho Plate, our favorite Thomasvillians once again unite to support their own hometown heroine, Molly Rae Edwards, who has advocated for many of them in the past. Will their help be enough to salvage Molly Rae's hopes and dreams?
