T his book is the outcome of a Conference, held at Aberystwyth University in April, 1924, which had for its main purpose a series of lectures and discussions on the Development of Civilisation. The Council of the Training College Association availed themselves of the offer of the Board of Education to co-operate in arranging the lectures, and the Conference was attended by Principals and Tutors of Training Colleges.
