Several lines of mumbo jumbo made up of repeated letters, dots and dashes confronted her. But even more distracting were the hands spinning wildly out of control on the clock.
The hourglass suddenly took flight. It lifted off the desk and floated through the air. Mackenzie watched in amazement when, as smoothly as a glider on water, it landed on top of the filing cabinet. Undisturbed the sand continued to sift through the neck of the hourglass.
Laughing Emojis flashed across the computer screen as if to make fun of Mackenzie as she again attempted to write another sentence.
