Ten years ago, twelve-year-old Betty Waddell disappeared from the bedroom of her home. The police and private detectives, hired by her mother after an unsuccessful police investigation, were also unsuccessful. No clues were ever found as to how or why she suddenly disappeared. Desperate to find Betty, her mother hired Alan Steele, a former Miami Police Department Detective who had a reputation for solving cold case crimes. At the beginning of his investigation, Steele was frustrated that he also could not find any clues, until he discovered them right in front of him.
