L.G. Ingle was born in Corydon Indiana, raised in New Albany Indiana. Lawrence has been writing rhymes, poetry and songs for many years, and has had numerous poems published in various books around the nation, with his Peace poem having been given the Editors Choice Award in 1993 by Alex Hanley, former director of the International Poetry Hall of Fame Museum in Washington DC.
This Mule story is one of the many rhyming short stories written by Lawrence. Lawrence has been writing poems since an early age, some of fact and some of fiction, some serious and some funny and hilarious. Lawrence has the ability to write on any subject where he finds interest in, and humor has found its place in his many categories of writing. Lawrence has written short poems about The Kentucky Derby, Bowling, Robin Hood, Zorro, Sky King, Billy The Kid, Shooting Pool, The Rawhide Kid, and even about Marriage. Lawrence has had poems published in many books since 1988. Lawrence's Poem: "By The Sea" was published in 1988 in World of Poetry Magazine, Anaheim California by president Eddie Lou Cole and received a golden poet award. Also Poem: "By The Sea" was published again in 1989 in the book: "Living Jewels-A Treasury of Lyric Poetry" by Fine Arts Press. Just to mention a few Lawrence had "The Kentucky Derby" poem published in 1997 in the book: "A Break In The Clouds, by The National Library of Poetry. Lawrence has had over 30 songs recorded over the years and has written on the subjects from love, yard sales, to pool shooting, Lawrence enjoys writing and hopes that you find time to read some of his thoughts and are able to enjoy a good laugh now and then.
