Publisher's Synopsis
Johann has heard the stories about the Treasure and the mysterious Mountain outside his village all his life. The Treasure gives power to the one who finds it. He's never paid much mind to the myths until the day he realizes how powerless he is. Now the impulsive 15-year-old embarks on a journey to find that power. Dangerous challenges await him on the bizarre and ever-changing mountainside, and without help he cannot possibly be successful. His best friend Michael joins him at the last minute with uncanny knowledge of the Mountain as well as the only man who can help him. But Johann is not sure he can trust the man. As their adventure unfolds, Johann realizes he must determine if Michael is there to help or get the Treasure for himself. Soon Michael's very life will depend on what Johann decides.
