Publisher's Synopsis
In this book The Metaphysical Ten Commandments, we are going to be taking a metaphysical approach to the Ten Commandments in order to find out how these timeless secrets from the ancient mysteries of Scriptures can lead to a happier, more fulfilling and abundant life.To discover what the metaphysical is we must start with an explanation of the physical. By the physical it is commonly understood, though not universally, the material objects around us, which, appear in the realm of the five senses. Metaphysics is the branch of philosophy that deals with the first principles of things, including abstract concepts such as being, knowing, substance, cause, identity, time and space. The word "metaphysics" comes from two Greek words that, together, literally mean "after or behind or among [the study of] the natural." It has been suggested that the term might have been coined by a first century editor who assembled various small selections of Aristotle's works into the treatise we now know by the name Metaphysics (beyond the physical). Whatever the original meaning of the word metaphysical, metaphysics as discussed in this book implies a passing beyond the physical, which passage may be effected with different degrees of being, from the physical, emotional, psychological onto what is commonly called the spiritual. We will be taking a bird's eye view of each of the Ten Commandments and discussing their benefits from a metaphysical perspective and their applications for us today.
