Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from The Medical Muse, Grave and Gay: A Collection of Rhymes Up to Date, by the Doctor, for the Doctor, and Against the Doctor
In making the selection for the present volume the compiler has purposely left out all such, with the single exception of Lines to a Skull, which is a masterpiece of English literature, and in his opinion finds a place here as the gem of the collection.
The balance are, as the title indicates, both grave and gay.
