Publisher's Synopsis

The Macc Lads are an English punk band from Macclesfield, Cheshire, England. Self-proclaimed the "rudest, crudest, lewdest, drunkest band in Christendom", the Macc Lads used irreverent, foul-mouthed, and politically incorrect lyrics; common lyrical themes were binge drinking, sex, and fighting. Active from 1981 to 1995 and reforming in 2018, the band now tends to be regarded more favorably by music historians, in contrast to the reaction the band generated in their heyday, with many appreciating the blatant schoolboy humor and tongue-in-cheek nature of the source material.
From 1988 to 1994. Following them on tour and eventually getting backstage and helping out at gigs. Violence at concerts, silly practical jokes, elaborate wind-ups, and the legendary roadie that was Sandbach. Absolutely nothing else affected my adolescence that this band did.
