Nearly four years have ?ed under impressions of various kinds since then but my spirit is still shaken as if lhad lost you only yesterday - the magni tude of the loss has only become clearer to my mind.
To bring the long years in which I lived with you in such familiar inter chan of thought and sentiment more close y before me, and to hold a kind of resurrection-festival to your love and honour, I once began to rear a monument of tender recollection to your memory; but however excellent the material, the chisel in my trembling hand refused the task.
