They spent several years at Lincoln Elementary in Hartford during which time this book was written.
Despite being twins, Amy and May are quite different. Amy (on the left) is tall for her age and has a black belt in Taekwondo, winning numerous trophies competing in tournaments. She enjoys science, history and playing the bassoon. She also loves to swim. On a bet, she was able to keep her mouth above the surface in deep water for over an hour just using her legs and feet with her arms at her side. Amy and her mother are big movie fans who particularly love scary movies. Amy can watch the most shocking horror movies without blinking an eye. Amy has a great amount of insight regarding people and asks the most probing questions.
On the other hand May (on the right) can't watch many movies because the conflict in them makes her uncomfortable. Even in relatively typical movie situations, May will excuse herself and leave her seat for several minutes if the situation gets tense. She even gets nervous watching her sister compete in Taekwondo tournaments. May plays the violin and mastered the art of the cell phone at age eight. She manipulates numerous programs on her cell phone using a wide variety of Apps. If anyone in the family has a question about computers or cell phones, they ask May. She is quite the jokester, making everyone laugh. May also loves her cats.
May is a fashionable young lady, who is attentive to her appearance and has numerous friends and acquaintances. Amy is more of a free and independent spirit with several close friends. Both are big fans of professional wresting having attended many live events and know the names and stories behind all the wrestling stars.
