The English town of Woodford is a friendly place with several active social groups, and the High Street is thriving with a traditional greengrocers', a popular cafe run by a local family, a pub which welcomes locals and visitors alike, and as you walk down the High Street people are never too busy to nod and say 'hello'. Woodford is located in the south west of England, in the County of Brackenshire, and has a good reputation in the wider antiques community. It has both an auction house and an antiques centre, bringing people in from out-of-town to enjoy other businesses in the area. Crime is low; community spirit is high.One morning, Nicola Stacey unlocks and opens the doors to Williamson Antiques to discover the place has been ransacked. Terrified the vandals may still be in the building, Nicola dashes next door to the safety of The Woodford Tearooms. Everyone is shocked by the news of the damage inflicted on the fine and rare objects, and the people of Woodford band together to help Nicola, and the business's owner Cliff. Unfortunately for Cliff, the devastating attack on his antiques centre is just the beginning, and over the next few months the mystery of who and why deepens, as a series of revelations cause even more heartache for Cliff and his family.
