Publisher's Synopsis
Only a few hours have passed since Mark Schubert, young professor of literature, specialised in north European art and folklore at the Goethe-Universitat in Frankfurt, managed to escape with his friends from a nightmare situation, absolutely unconceivable just a few days before. An absurd story, where the line between reality and fantasy had disappeared, creating incredible monstrosities - and not only metaphorical. But now back in the safety of his home, after having paid a high price to regain a semblance of normality, Mark Schubert realizes the task he had set himself is anything but over. A new threat awaits him in the guise of an arcane entity that seems to be furious with him and his companions. To placate his rage, Mark and his team have to undertake a long journey to the other side of the world to find the pages stolen from the mysterious artefact entrusted to Mark. But danger is once again lying in wait and someone else is on their trail. Will the members of the K-Team be able to save the young professor when he finds himself facing the blinding Light of a Thousand Suns?
