Publisher's Synopsis
A lively CD-ROM for children to learn the alphabet and key digraphs. It has five interactive activities which teach and test children's knowledge of the shapes and sounds of the letters of the alphabet, including: matching the sound of the letter to the written letter, matching the letter names to the written letter and hearing the letter sound in the beginning of the word. The Letter Detective also includes an optional activity to learn alphabetical order, which is particularly suitable for whole-class teaching using a whiteboard. Each activity has three different levels of difficulty which can be set by the teacher. Teachers can also use the options to exclude or include certain letters, to view the progress of each child and print out a progress chart for them.
