Publisher's Synopsis

The Law of the Four Just Men (1921) by Edgar Wallace - Four young, handsome, rich vigilantes kill in the name of justice. They punish wrong-doers who are beyond the reach of the law. The four men are pardoned on the condition that they remain within the law. As a result, Poiccart retires to Spain while Gonsalez and Manfred operate a legitimate detective agency. But there is more to their existence than meets the eye.... English author Richard Horatio Edgar Wallace (1875-1932) left school at 12 and joined the army at 21. He was a war correspondent for Reuters and the Daily Mail and wrote thrillers. Wallace later moved to Hollywood as a script writer for RKO but died while drafting King Kong. Wallace also wrote screen plays, poetry and historical non-fiction. He sold more than 50 million copies of his work. The Economist describes him as one of the most prolific thriller writers of the 20th century.
