The statutes passed in 1833, did much to relieve the law from these subtleties, and unnecessary difficulties. The Act for the abolition of Fines and Recoveries will ever re?ect honour on Mr. Brodie. The simple, lucid, and comprehensive enactments of the 8th and 9th Vic toria, cap. 106, with the aid of the new Statute of Wills, have also greatly tended to amend the Law of Real Property.
It would be but bare justice to acknowledge the great aid which has been rendered by Mr. Justice Williams'
