Excerpt from The Law Reports, Vol. 9: Court of Erchequer
Of the said children, and supply them with such things as should be necessary for their care and nurture, and for their use and bene fit, and educate, and find and provide for the education Of the said children, the defendant promised the plaintiff that he would pay the plaintiff an annuity or sum of 3001. Per annum for and during a term which has not yet expired, the said annuity to be paid in four equal quarterly payments on the usual quarter days in each and every year during the term aforesaid that all conditions, 810. Were fulfilled, yet the defendant discontinued the payment of the said sum, and two years arrears were due and unpaid. The claim was for 6001.
