Publisher's Synopsis
In the hillside village of Soblan, Krung, a Karen Hill Tribe boy, lives the rural life of a subsistence farmer with his family. Life is hard, but the forests and hills of Chiang Mai Province are a beautiful place, and he is grateful for the culture and solidarity of his loving family and tribe. Suah, the tiger, is the only one of his kind, and his forest world is vanishing as he searches for food and solace. When the two worlds of man and beast clash, it is an existential danger and horror for both. What will become of the hill tribe, and the last Siamese tiger? This is a story about survival for those on the margins of our modern world.
