On the distant world of Pratimus, the kingdom of Anakar struggles to recover from a war that threatened to destroy the entire planet. As King Jefferson, Queen Rebecca, Prince Duncan, and Princess Eva strive to rebuild their kingdom, Captain Lilith Sanders--commander of Anakar's knights of the Royal Guard--works to rebuild her depleted forces after most of her knights were killed during the war. With most of her new recruits untrained in combat, Lilith works to train them before an enemy tries to take advantage of their weakened state. But King Tophin, the evil king of Zunatin, plans to do just that. With the aid of an evil wizard, Tophin launches a campaign to take over Anakar. Together with the wizard, Tophin unleashes a dragon, a creature not seen in over a century, to raid the peaceful villages of Anakar. Lilith is faced with both inexperienced soldiers and a deadly foe she doesn't understand. Fighting at Lilith's side is Cassandra--a shape-shifting fairy and Lilith's best intelligence agent; Prince Duncan, the warrior prince and Lilith's boyfriend; Jack Winston, a rookie knight and Princess Eva's boyfriend; and Jimmy, a farmer turned knight whose mother was taken by the dragon. Together, they try to unite the knights with the elves, dwarves, and other races of Anakar. But when a traitor emerges among Lilith's ranks, Lilith faces a crisis she never expected.
