Among some people in our society, there remains a certain fascination when it comes to horror tales of murderous women who were responsible for the violent deaths of those around them. These women are known throughout history as Black Widows.
Despite all seeking to cause the demise of male figures in their lives, Black Widows are not all the same. They have a number of 'weapons of choice' from the slow and agonizing death from poison to a short sharp push from a height or the pull of a trigger. They are cunning and sly, perfectly matching the female spiders for which they are named, who kill their partners after mating.

A love story went horribly wrong, and the complex web that had to be untangled to get to the truth...On August 4th, 1992, paramedics responded to an emergency call to Number Seven Summit Drive, Peru, Indiana. Outside, the caller still had the phone pressed to her ear, presumably still talking to Duke Memorial Hospital Emergency Room's dispatcher. Inside the master bedroom was a lifeless body lying on a couch, seemingly asleep. Upon closer inspection, E.M.T. technician Carolyn Shaffer could tell that the individual was no longer alive.
KELLY GISSENDANER
Kelly Gissendaner, born Kelly Brookshire, became the sixth and last woman executed in Georgia for her role in the murder of her husband, Douglas Gissendaner, by her lover, Greg Owen. The murder was gruesome, Kelly demonstrated a lack of credibility with lies, and the murder was clearly premeditated- three things that helped a jury convict her of her role in the murder.
ANNA MARIE HAHN

Anna Marie Hahn had a gambling habit.
She indulged her addiction at the horse races and bookie joints throughout Cincinnati in the 1930s. Anna wasn't very good at picking horses, losing time and again while accruing debt.
