Kings of Israel were ordained by God himself to lead the people of Israel. Although sometimes the kings' actions were motivated by power, greed, or selfishness they were also sincere followers of God. These kings show us how our focus--whether on God's kingdom or on the things of this earth--can so quickly and fundamentally change our intentions.
