Publisher's Synopsis
Many knowledgeable Christians may admit that the church has used several passages from the Gospel of Mark (and other writings in the Bible) to allow the church to have authority over them. But few would say it out loud. This is a daring research project which examines the Gospel of Mark using Ancient Bible Study Methods asking the question about the nature of each passage. Is the passage about the Kingdom of Heaven, the Kingdom of Church, a prophecy, the author's commentary, or an historical narrative. The idea is to make the reader think about the Scripture and how it has been used for 1900+ years. You have to have an open mind and are ready to view other ways of thinking about the Gospel of Mark. This is has not been done before, to this magnitude, it may stir the pot of interpretation.
