Publisher's Synopsis
Marlene dies in her home, forgotten and alone, and her body is found by a curious neighbor, Sandra, who has not seen or heard from her in a while. She contacts her out of town relatives and discovers she does have a family after all who seem appreciative of the fact that someone has taken the time to go out of their way to check in on her. For her unfortunately, it was too late. Sandra has problems of her own living in an abusive relationship with her boyfriend and two children that soon deteriorates when he leaves her for dead. She however is rescued by her mother and father and others who have made it their life's mission to help the abused, and she and her children are given a second chance to begin their story anew. This is a story about people going out of their way to help those forgotten by the world rather they be abused, neglected, or just plain lonely. It depicts the ugly reality many are faced with in this world, but dares to suggest the possibility that kindness when offered to others just might be returned.
