Publisher's Synopsis
"Immunology Reviews" publishes articles covering significant developments in Soviet fundamental and applied immunology research. The series is intended to make recent medical advances in the USSR accessible to Western scientists who read no Russian.;This volume investigates the ability of low molecular weight RNA and its officinal derivative, sodium nucleinate, to stimulate specific and nonspecific immune responses and to increase nonspecific resistance pathogens and viral infections. A similar capacity to promote the body's ability to detoxify bacterial toxins and to diminish the reactogenicity of bacterial toxins and officinal polysacharides is detected and the possible clinical use of these drugs to correct secondary immunodeficiencies and to stimulate postvaccinal immunity is discussed.
