Bookseller Notes

Printing in Bolton began in 1784, and was largely devoted to Dissenting works. In The Christian Reformer, Or, New Evangelical Miscellany, Vol. 15, 1828, Wesleyan Methodists are berated for their bigotry, their then attitude being contrasted with the liberality of the Rev. Thomas Taylor, of Bolton, Lancaslhire. A scarce book.
