Publisher's Synopsis
Ernesto Nathan Rogers (1909-1969) - architect, editor, writer and educator - can be credited with expanding the appreciation of modern architecture within the Italian context and beyond. Yet he is relatively unrecognised in the historiography of 20th century architecture. Most of the texts selected for this volume have been translated into English for the first time. They reveal his tireless efforts to render the past as present, from linguistic and practical points of view.
